Thyroid gland is your body’s regulator. An imbalance of your thyroid hormone can affect every metabolic function.

Important to test the entire thyroid to assess functioning which includes much more than just TSH and T4---that is like putting a 500 piece puzzle together with only 250 pieces. Levels that must be checked: TSH, FreeT4, FreeT3, Total T3, ReverseT3 and Thyroid Antibodies

Traditionally results are reviewed and may fall into “normal” range but may not be optimal or “normal” for you. The goal is optimizing the thyroid on an individualized basis as ranges are specific to you. Having the knowledge to interpret the results allows for customized treatment plans which may include natural thyroid or compounded medications.

Many symptoms of an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism) are the same as those of other conditions, so it can easily be confused for something else.

  • tiredness.
  • being sensitive to cold.
  • weight gain.
  • constipation.
  • depression.
  • slow movements and thoughts.
  • muscle aches and weakness.
  • muscle cramps.

And much more.
